Since 2013, I have been providing counseling to couples, individuals, adolescents, and families in a variety of mental health settings. I graduated cum laude from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. I have training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples, Prepare-Enrich for premarital couples, and EMDR for trauma (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I typically use an eclectic (whatever is needed) approach that may include cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, and family systems therapy, as well as my specific training for couples and trauma. As a Christian counselor, I believe Biblical principles are a great road map for life and I am specifically trained to incorporate spiritual principles into my work with clients. However, I will only do so if requested.
I have gained extensive experience working with adolescents and their families. I also have a passion for restoring health and harmony to marriages. I have worked with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, relational issues, men’s issues, spiritual issues, and trauma/abuse. I am also interested in working with gaming and media addiction and pornography addiction. If you are struggling with any of these issues, please contact me today. I look forward to working with you!
